The Korean Saga
The time has come to share my week one adventure… just a briefing… I move into my apartment soon and will have more access and availability to communicate more effectivily… so for now…
Arriving at the airport, 6 pm, waiting for everyone, leaving and getting to our kindly named, “Love Motel” by midnight, just to wake up and head to our first day of work… go .. go… go everyday.
The routine is something to get to use to, coming from a sporatic part time job. However, once everything seems to be somewhat organized, I believe it will rub off on me. First day of my own classes and my own ways, tomorrow… the calm before the storm. Not even that calm…
Korea, Seoul, is something. Feeling of a regular life, pointing at pictures, eating mystery food, but it tastes soo delicious. I feel like learning the language will be useful, they are so helpful, kind and just want to please you.
I have been dancing, in the University, foreigner district, and sang at the local nori bong right around the corner. I have eaten an octopus rice bowl and look forward to what else I will find… hahah… ohmy…
I have only done a limited amount of exploring… but this transit system, as crazy busy and so full of many different lines and colours and tranfers there is, is pretty good thus far… I have been turned around in the streets, and alleys but transit… so far so good… we will see what my next get lost adventure holds though. SO much to explore, I have no words really.
Week one, just feeling it all out… more adventures to come.
Time for a nap and getting mentally ready for tomorrows crazy kids that will enter my life this year!!! Super exciting!!!
